Hello Blogdom!

I had never commented on a blog until I stumbled onto Sign of Jonah sometime last year. I was searching for information on various fringe charismaniacal (I think I may have invented that word – at least in its adjective form) groups. I found Drew and Keith, and was hooked. I became a frequent commenter, and ended up engaging in various debates ranging from modern prophecy to open theism.
My wife and I have been blessed with two small children (2 ½ years and 4 months). I find that I spend a great deal of time sitting around the house with the children. I figured I could spend that time on more trivial things than a blog. Besides, I could use some place to vent my thoughts on… everything.
I wanted to call the blog “Grey Matters”, because I have found on the SOJ comment threads and throughout Christendom a stunning lack of discernment and rational thought. While I am not technically trained as a theologian, pastor, seminarian, philosopher… nor in any way qualified to speak authoritatively about… anything, I enjoy a good debate/discussion on just about any topic. Iron sharpens iron, no?
Unfortunately, “Grey Matters” and “Gray Matters” were already taken. For whatever reason, I opted for “Blatzkrieg”, a silly play on my last name – Blatzheim. Blatzheim… blitzkrieg… Blatzkrieg! Hence, the tanks. Huh? Yeah, I know… What’s done is done.
Please feel free to correct, challenge and rebuke me with passion and vigor. Expect that I will do likewise!
Jim B.

Blogdom says hello to you too. We’re having you guys over for dinner when we get settled.

Uh-oh. I didn’t think anyone would be able to find this yet. Oh well…
We look forward to dinner!
(How do I get my name back to Jim B., though my blog is Blatzkrieg. E.g. You used to be Jonah, now you’re Drew.)
Should be under “options.” Oh, and hyperlinks are pretty much instantaneous.

Yeah, I finally figured it out yesterday. Thanks!
I saw that you were lovingly referred to as the Prince of Darkness by one of your loving charismaniacs recently. Classic…
If I were working for Satan I’d soooo smoke them!
Please tell me that’s you in the picture. I wish I had a tank.
Alas, it is not.
Jim,
’bout time you had your own blog!! I’ve always loved your comments on ours. I can’t wait to give this site to some open theist buddies that I know.
I’ve added your site as one of my favorites.
Blessings.
